About Us

Aloha, my name is Manuel and I started Hawaii Paradise Crafts in 2017.  My company is located on the Big Island of Hawaii and all of my jewelry are created by me here on the Island.  As a kid I was always interested in art and liked to create things.  I never thought that one day I would start my own business creating jewelry.  I have been around wood working for the last 20 years of my life.  My grandfather would always be in his shop making crafts to sell at the market.  I would help him occasionally with sanding wood as I had a little bit of knowledge of woodworking from my wood shop class in high school.  My father eventually learned the trade from him and is now a well-known craftsman here on the big island of Hawaii.  They would always try to get me out into the shop to make crafts and learn how to do it.  I was never really interested.  I liked color, bright vibrant colors that catches the eye and I guess just seeing the same color of wood all the time just wasn’t interesting to me.  Until one day I was on YouTube and came across a video on resin and wood jewelry.  The colors used in the resin instantly caught my attention.  I thought to myself this is something I'd like to create but with Koa wood.  I haven't seen anyone here doing it and thought, the women would love these!  So, I started to do research on how to make them and what materials and tools I would need to make this all come to life.  I got online and ordered everything that I needed.  Got everything set up and made my first pair of earrings.  I was instantly hooked and my earrings was a hit.  I'm glad that I can create beautiful jewelry that people love to wear.
